Admission Requirements
Admission to the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources is based on a combination of high school grade-point average (unweighted 4.0 scale) and ACT or SAT scores. The following list summarizes the admission requirements.
Engineering
- 3.0 high school GPA
- 24 ACT composite or 1110 SAT combined Math and Critical Reading
- 27 ACT math score or 620 SAT math score
General Engineering
- 2.5 high school GPA
- 22 ACT composite or 1030 SAT combined Math and Critical Reading
- 23 ACT math score or 540 SAT Math score
In addition, students must have high school credits for:
- Four units of English (including grammar, composition, and literature).
- Three units of social studies (including U.S. history).
- Three units of college preparatory mathematics (algebra I and II and geometry).
- Two units of laboratory sciences (including physics, chemistry, biology, or other laboratory courses).
